I have always been interested in the significance of the Bell Lets Talk movement and whether it is benificial or not. In honour of yesterday being Bell Lets Talk day I decided to do some searching into any negative aspects that this day carries. I came across this article and found it to be a very interesting read about targeting the consumer. This puts a different perspective on a movement that many people respect. In this article there is a link to the literature review that was conducted.

  • I came across the same article and had shared with a few colleagues of mine. I do appreciate the awareness and attempt at bringing attention towards the stimga around MH. However, I do echo the concern about what it means when an organization like Bell is working with unpaid labour and depending on social media engagement. I would like to see a partnership with lets say Kidshelpphone, who really do need charitable funds to support their launch of text services for young people. Definitely a controversial article.
