Job Overview:
The eTrain team is seeking an eLearning Development Lead- Program Development. This position is responsible for the development of eLearning content as well as the monitoring and development of the online learning management system, MOODLE. The position is responsible for day-to-day program development and maintenance of all Safety Coordination Services’ learning products, the monitoring of administrator assistance for product delivery, and to act as a resource to both Safety Coordination Services’ employees and clients in the development and implementation of learning solutions for Safety Coordination Services’ current and future training requirements.

Requiring responsiveness and independence, the position must set objectives, meet high standards, and use good business judgment while handling a variety of program development and eLearning customer issues. Complexity of duties ranges from moderate to high. Based in Edmonton, this position is also responsible for the development and implementation of all online and computer-based training requirements for Safety Coordination Services Edmonton  campus. The successful candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop program materials: classroom-based, blended, and eLearning products
  • Work collaboratively with IT, System Architect, and media developers to maintain eLearning system
  • Evaluate and develop processes to support the LMS and CBT system training components
  • Make recommendations on process and functionality improvements for the LMS
  • Act as an course development expert in the e-learning field
  • Develop tools to aid in the production and maintenance of learning course materials

Required Knowledge, Skills,  and Abilities:

  • A degree or diploma in education, Media development, Adult Learning; comparable education will be considered
  • Experience with using a variety of eLearning technologies
  • Experience with HTML, Flash, videography, and/or development platforms an asset
  • Experience with issue tracking
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and project management
