Job Overview:
The eLearning team is seeking an Instructional Media Developer - Program Development. This position is responsible for the development of eLearning content for its instructional eLearning system Moodle  and must deal with a variety of interrelated media and technology elements to improve elearning course development productivity and enhance online student learning.  The position will assist in the planning, marketing, and implementation of elearning and blended occupational skills Internet courses.

The position is responsible for the development eLearning products, the monitoring  of product implementation, and to act as a resource for the program development team. Requiring responsiveness and independence, the position must meet objectives and high standards, and use good business judgment while handling a variety of media development and eLearning projects. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of current development tools for implementation with a variety of online and computer-based training projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop media-based course materials: classroom-based, blended, and eLearning products
  • Work collaboratively with IT, System Architect, and media developers to maintain eLearning system
  • Make recommendations on process and functionality improvements
  • Manage Website
  • Develop tools to aid in the production and maintenance of learning material

Required Knowledge, Skills,  and Abilities:

  • A diploma in Media development, Adult Learning; comparable education considered
  • Experience with HTML, PHP, Flash, Lectora, Adobe suite, etc
  • Produce instructional programs and materials, including instructional modules, computer assisted instruction
  • Initiate & coordinate development of assigned projects with content and production specialists, vendors, and contractors
  • Excellent graphic design ability
  • Experience with videography, and/or development platforms an asset
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
