AIM Academy Montessori Curriculum

Montessori Is The Natural Choice

In 1907, Dr. Maria Montessori introduced an educational method which focused on the Absorbent Mind of the child. She emphasized how the process of learning started from birth and was an ongoing process with alternating periods of stabilization and growth. Her years of research and faith in God showed her how the miracle of the developing child was a huge trust bestowed upon those around them.

She also observed that, conventional teaching methods were mostly not in accord with natural progressions and thus doing an injustice to the child’s capabilities.

As an educational institute,AIM Academy understood her approach, and saw that it was best to synergize her methods with the current curriculum requirements of TDSB.

In the Montessori prepared environment, the child is encouraged to develop through individual, spontaneous activities. In doing so, their skills are enhanced with the usage of scientifically designed materials. As the child learns the great task of independence, his or her human spirit and personality-trait is nurtured and cultivated to achieve human excellence.

In a non-Montessori environment the child is exposed to endless facts and numbers and told of proper everyday etiquette with oneself and others. AIM Academy takes it over and beyond bare-minimums.

At AIM Academy Montessori children learn to keep themselves and their surroundings in order, and build a sense of community through their microcosm environment.

Our aim is to educate and nurture responsible, conscious children. Children who are aware of what their role is growing up in a Western society is. By working with the dedicated parents of our students, we can bring a unique and holistic learning approach to our global-community.

For a century now, Dr. Montessori’s method has proven to be successful in other countries and cultures and we would like to see our children also benefit from her groundbreaking methods synergized with TDSB curriculum.
