Great insights. When I think about this DIKW model, it reminds me a lot about my own experiences in healthcare. A typical workflow for a physician would be to review all relevent data/information, and apply their knowledge or find knowledge to apply to the case. The DIK so far are all information from the past. With this process, a physician would order specific tests and/or treatments and expect a certain outcome based on all the data/information/knowledge used - the wisdom part.
I would imagine with lots of data (big data?), you can glean insights and predict trends; reacting to these trends would definitely give you an advantage in whatever field.
