Articulating: Commenting Guidelines

Commenting on Others' Posts

There are two main ways to comment on others' posts: hitting the feedback button at the end of a post to leave to leave a quick note, or weave the URL of another's post into your own post.

A good question often arises: how am I supposed to engage meaningfully about content with others?

I would follow these guidelines when deciding to comment to others' posts:

Do I have the time to contribute the way I would like to have someone contribute to my own post?

Other than a one line reaction, do I add anything meaningful to the post?

Am I responding to the contribution with questions, opinions, or additional resources?

If the post has inspired me, have I stated such, and expressed my passion and gratitude for the post?

Is the comment better placed into my own blog post, with a link embedded to the peer's post?
