Unit 6:
This unit as other turned out to be very enlightening. It was intriguing to discover the power of JQuery and how it is able to cut down the code size to half and deliver amazing results. In my quest to discover the many abilities of JQuery I also found many plugins and codes to being outdated. Following are some of the great web resources I came across to understand JQuery:
https://learn.jquery.com/using-jquery-core/document-ready/
In this search process I also came to find out how important dependencies were for a JQuery application to work seamlessly and the possibilities were really endless.
The most difficult aspect of this unit was figuring out the dependencies. It was also difficult and time consuming to filter through the JQuery content on the web to get what really I wanted. It would also come handy to know the syntax of the language as I mostly depended on trial and error.
I feel confident that the rationale of adding the chosen JQuery would greatly enhance my persona’s experience of using this website.
