ANTH 394 Urban Anthropology students will find this interesting/relevant to their readings regarding public and private spaces in urban settings.

Families, particularly those in rural settings, used to have extensive courtyards as part of their homes where they could walk on The Sabbath. This is a way to accommodate urban lifeways.
