ANTH 320 Ancient Cities & Civilizations students--read this! An algorithm that processes quantitative trade data recorded on more than 12,000 cuneiform texts written by Assyrian merchants some 4,000 years ago, which contain prices, population sizes, and data on cargo shipments for 26 ancient cities, may help find the locations of the 11 cities among them that are unknown.
