For students enrolled in Anthropology 272 note that archaeological excavations continue at the Ness of Brodgar which is part of the Heart of Neolithic Orkney World Heritage Site.   Colin Renfrew and Paul Bahn feature  this site   in Chapter 10 of the course text, Archaaeology: Theories, Methods, and Practice (Thames and Hudson, 2016).  Opportunities to participate  bring volunteers   from around the world who gather each summer to continue excavations.
