Unit 0: Learning Diary

By John Borg in the group COMP 266 May 2, 2019 - 8:58pm

Hey everyone! My name is John Borg, I am a third year Electrical Engineering student at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. I am an avid fisherman and hiker, and I post all of my outdoor adventures to YouTube under the name Wilderness Ontario! For quite some time now I have been wanting to create a webpage for this content and I am excited to soon have the tools to do so.

Completed Activities for Unit 0:

So far, I have reviewed the course and portfolio requirements. I have also sent a request inorder to be setup with a webspace through SCIS. I watched the "How To" videos for WinSCP and farmiliarized myself with the tool. I use Windows OS, so I descided to download and install WinSCP as my SFTP client in order to access the server. This will be used to upload all my website files. Lastly, I completed the Unit 0 self-test and started writing my first learning diary entry.

I am still working on setting up my SCIS web page, as I just recently requested access. I also would like to reachout to other students in the class through the group page on the Landing.

Looking forward to creating this webspace and connecting with the rest of you!
