I have been putting a Professional Learning Plan together, and racking my brains of how to do something entrepreneurial while playing with technologies for teaching, when I came across this:
Technorati: Blogging for Profit
http://www.technorati.com/blogging/state-of-the-blogosphere/blogging-for-profit/
I will be giving a presentation introducing literacy practitioners in BC to web 2.0, and facilitating a wireside discussion.
I have decided to summarize the nature of web 2.0 for literacy in a few sites:
twitter.com - in 140 words or less, compose a written snapshot to present to the world on what you are doing now.
blogging: meme-sharing, self-publishing, purposeful, meaningful writing
bloglines: aggregating RSS feeds into just one place for easy access; developing resource management skills
wikispaces: collaborate with others on a topic to complete a joint project
ning - create and manage your own learning network
