I think it would be great to develop structured orientation activities for future students to participate in a number of short web quests during a course, providing practice with using the Me2U application more extensively.
For example, students would be required to find answers to various questions, or give impressions about content. This might include asking students to delve deeper into details from other students’ profiles, identifying popular feeds, exploring other students’ archived posts, bookmarks and tags.
In addition, students would be asked to find others within the Me2U learning community with similar interests and goals.
Blogging and forum activities could be offered to allow learners to engage as a gladiator, and take a role in a case study, defending a particular standpoint, based on selected readings.
Or have learners choose a learning circle (triad of three) among their cohort, and structure activities that appeal to the introverted, reflective types, and require them to make use of the collaborative wiki and the Elluminate V-Room.
