Are you interested in learning more about Lidar use in archaeology? Register for this webinar "Flights Into the Past - Archaeological Prospection Using Lidar," hosted by Lidar Magazine, which takes place TOMORROW (Oct 23, 11-12pm MST).

On a related note, the Stann Creek Regional Archaeology Project (directed by me) and NCALM--with funding from Athabasca University-SSHRC Explore, the Rust Family Foundation, and Mr. Doug Smith--just completed a lidar survey of an area in Belize, just to the north of where we are currently researching the ancient Maya site of Alabama. This new area is focused on the archaeological site of Pearce, which is located in the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary. Stay tuned for results of our survey, hopefully to be released sometime in the coming year!
