New fossil ape discovered near Munich, Germany

A  new fossil ape called Danuvius guggenmosi is featured in the journal, Nature, andmay be of interest to students in Anthropology 277 ( The Archaeology of Us)!   The  11-12 million year old ape  is reported to exhibit erect bipedal features millions of years older than previous discoveries  and was found near Munich, Germany.
