One month and one week passed since starting MAIS-606. What did I learn?
I believe this course rather than just a simple writing course is an awareness course. Living with this course means you must learn ''how to write'' every single minute of your life. It means to be aware of what is around you. You must to write, write, then write again, In the end, it's necessary to see the writing as a ''real communication'' not what need to be done.
I am happy because I am learning.
What I learned so far this week:
- Your own writing is respected not copy-paste.
- Your style of writing is your art.
- You need to feel your writing not just to write.
- ''Yes, when you write, you have lighted a candle instead of cursing the darkness.''
- If you want to learn how to write, use internet. ''...for every moment it steals, it gives back a hundred delights.''
- When you start writing be focused. No interruption.
- try to write always and everyday.
- Not to ''Google search'' but to write your own words.
- ''... the last thing you want is your tool second-guessing you, ''correcting'' your spelling, criticizing your sentence structure, and so on.''
- Concepts of ''time management'' and ''editing'' in writing.
- Revising means improving the fundamental organization of a text.
- Focus on ''logical order''.
Best regards,
Hassan Mezori
