Learning Diary - Unit 6: Using Libraries - JQuery Proposal

By Tristan Simpson : May 5th 2020

  •  Proposal

Protect Photo Gallery

Description:

I have taken a lot of photos for fitness and I have used some on this site. I learnt about intellectual property and how important it can be so I would like to create a way of protecting our photos from being copied.

I have found a jquery function where I can disable right clicks on any photo.

Rationale:

Protecting my intellectual property from any potential violation. I guess this does not tie directly to my personas but I think it is important to implement.

Unit 6: Using Libraries - UNIT COMPLETE

  • By Tristan simpson
  •
  • Implemented a plugin that disables right-clicks on my photo gallery to protect my intellectual property from any potential violation.
  • Implemented well-structured, easily maintained JavaScript/JQuery code following good practice.
  • Tailored borrowed JavaScript/JQuery code to fit my needs.
  • Realized that previous programming experience has helped me power through this unit.
  • Realized that first providing a proposal then implementing the plugin makes the implementation process much faster.
  • I would not do anything differently about this unit. I believe that the plugin I added puts me at ease when it comes to posting my personal photos to the public.
