Writing the critical review taught me how to think critically about certain information and points brought forth by authors. The critical review focused on the author’s opinions and research, while the literature review focuses on information brought forth from multiple sources and what has already been said about a certain topic.
Writing the critical review prepared me by looking at how authors form opinions of their work; either by statistical evidence, research or combination of the two, which they eventually formulate their conclusions from.
I still need to prepare a subject to write about and research how to formulate one. Reading the sample articles provided, I have become familiar with the style and structure of literature reviews and also what kinds of topics are written about. The samples provide me with a framework example to establish my own article around.
