I have heard about "Personal Digital Environments", "Personal Learning Environment", and “Personal Knowledge Environment”.
However, I find the terms somewhat 2 dimensional. I would like to propose the concept of a Life-Long Learning Cloud; or for the past millennium people - "Personal Learning Cloud"). A cloud is more than 2 dimensions and can clump to other clouds to become a massive shape. A cloud is more ecocentric and pervasive. After all, water vapour accounts for more than 97% by volume of the green house gas composition on Earth. So rather than ignore this critical fact and presume that carbon dioxide has some significance, having “one's head in the clouds” is a good thing.
