Just a note, or warning, for everyone here. I intend on doing a blog post a day for the next while, so expect Landing to fill up with my particular inanities.
I have a few reasons for doing this. Firstly, a personal reason is to get my brain working more rigorously again. Setting myself a daily writing goal will give me some much needed literary aerobics. I'm not sure what exactly I'll write about, but I have a few rough ideas which deserve fleshing out. I'll do so here.
Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, I plan on using the blog as an educational aid. They say that you don't know something until you can teach it, so I'll be approaching at least some blog posts with an eye towards demonstrating (or extrapolating) what I've learned. My apologies in advance, since I imagine it'll be very old hat for a number of people here.
Thirdly, it'll be nice to have a little bit of a travelogue of my journey through school. The blog should make an interesting combination of study notes and memories which will be nice to look back on later in my career.
Finally, more activity on Landing can't be a bad thing, can it? With any luck by the time I'm settling into my blogging routine there'll be a chorus more Undergraduates on here to drown me out. I'm going to use it as a media upload site for school, a means to share with other students, etc, etc; hopefully in so doing I'll drag a few others along. But we'll see!
So - I might be a little noisy. I'll try to keep from disturbing the neighbours.
