Some very interesting statistics and reflections on Vanderbilt University's first few MOOCs. The biggest take-home from this is, I think, that it's all about diversity. Partly this relates to the fact that it ain't what you do, it's the way that you do it - there is no single way that MOOCs work and every instance is different from the next. Also, it relates to the diversity of the student population, their enormously varying needs and constraints, and the many ways that such diversity can be leveraged to make things better for everyone.
