Opening the Door: Reducing Barriers to Post-Secondary Education in Canada

This 2011 report on the state of post-secondary education in Canada includes a discussion on the participation rates of people with disabilities. The report found that 16.1% of youth between the ages of 16-24 abandon their education because of their impairment and 28% had to reduce their course load. About 19.7% of youth with disabilities aged 15-24 have experienced long school interruptions because of their disability.
