Invitation to Submit
The CNIE Graduate Student Stipend Awards Committee wishes to extend an invitation to graduate students to submit graduate-level research proposals for consideration for a 2010-2011 Canadian Network for Innovation in Education (CNIE-RCIÉ) Graduate Student Stipend Award. For purposes of this competition, research will be broadly defined.
Goal
The goal of this stipend is to promote graduate student research in distance,
online, and distributed education theory and practice.
Eligibility Requirements
The research stipend competition is open to all graduate student members of CNIE-RCIÉ who are actively engaged in research associated with a project, thesis, or dissertation at the Masters or PhD level. If the applicant is not already a member of CNIE, student memberships are available for $ 50.
Submissions should be no more than 1500 words and must be supported by a letter of recommendation from the chair of the applicant’s department or a member of the applicant’s thesis/dissertation committee. The deadline for the submission is February 25, 2011. Submissions will be accepted in either French or English.
The 2010 Graduate Student Stipend Award will be presented at the CNIE-RCIÉ conference in Hamilton, New Ontario, May 15 – 18, 2011.
