The Government of Alberta's Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village and Athabasca University's Heritage Resources Management Program are accepting applications for a Farm Program Assistant internship position.

This unique career opportunity is ideal for an aspiring or established heritage professional with interests in agricultural history, animal care and handling, and opportunities for extensive university-level academic training in heritage resources management.

As an HRIP internship, this position INCLUDES paid registration in the Athabasca University courses required to complete either the undergraduate University Certificate in Heritage Resources Management (a value of at least $6563.00 for students without an undergraduate degree) or the graduate level Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Heritage Resources Management (a value of at least $11,033.00).  Both the University Certificate and the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma will ladder into higher credentials (a BA and MA respectively) if an intern chooses to continue their studies.

As with all HRIP interships, this position also includes 70 hours per year of paid time allotted to complete coursework in the HRM program.  These substantial academic benefits are all in addition to the remuneration package of wages and benefits outlined in the position description link above.
