The Landing is a social site for Athabasca University staff, students and invited guests. It is a space where they can share, communicate and connect with anyone or everyone.

I don't use Linux because of it is free of charge. I use it because it is free of restrictions.
Although, I don't mind using other operating systems (I have to use many operating systems for my work), but I find Linux (Arch) to be the most comfortable.
APPLE does provide a free open-source version - Darwin - of it commercial XNU/unix version. Thus free and non-restrictive:
