About me

I am a computer consultant, who also does some part time teaching at tertiary institutions, including the Australian National University. I live in Canberra (Australia), but spend about one third of my time in Sydney. I blog about technology, travel and lifestyle as the Net Traveler, and course design, teaching and research as the Higher Education Whisperer. I started the MEd program at AU in 2014 and finished in early 2017. My Capstone e-Portfolio for Master of Education in Distance Education is available on-line. Also I have produced a book, based on my studies, with a free web version: "Digital Teaching In Higher Education: Designing E-learning for International Students of Technology, Innovation and the Environment".

Help with profiles

Your profile is the view that you present of yourself to others. Apart from your name (that you can change in your settings) it is entirely up to you who sees what. If you only want a couple of people to see your phone number or avatar, for instance, simply change the access control settings for those items.

You can add widgets and tabs to your profile. Each widget and each tab can have different permissions and be visible to different people. The only tab that must be visible is your default profile tab. You can drag tabs around. Visitors will, by default, see the first tab on the left if they have permissions to do so.
