      Hi Bibi,

I agree with your point that there is always a breaking point for everyone and there is a limit to what one can take. I personally know someone who worked at a call center as team lead for many years and was known for his patience and good communication skills. His job was to deal with irate customers and de-escalate situations. In spite of him being such a cool-headed person and having years of handling difficult customers. One fine day he himself lost it on a customer and was terminated from his job. As you have mentioned, I also do believe the same, that there comes a point in everyone’s life where you have just had it and cannot take it anymore. Once you hit that point you go back, realize what you have done and think how you could have handled the situation differently.

      HI Bibi,

Interesting take on the zero tolerance, I went to check online to see if anything came up regarding zero tolerance policies.

One was interesting it was, "Do zero tolerance policies make zero sense?" After reading it I found that when these policies exist, those that are being abused are not quick to report abuse. The reason is zero tolerance assumes that if it were abuse from an employee does it mean they get fired for doing the abuse? This makes it a hard decision for those being abused because they don't want to be responsible for getting anyone fired.

I had an abusive employee, I've witnessed the abusive behavior and I even brought it up with my boss. Sad thing is he only spoke to the person and I didn't see anything happen. They continued to keep their job, so I didn't feel that was satifactory. They should have been given leave of absence without pay, but I think it was just a slap on the wrist. When they continued to abuse me and my colleague, I complained again but asked this time, "why is he allowed to keep doing this?" Their only response was, "I will talk to him." So in this case I felt it was moot complaining.

      Hey Nairius,

      Hey Twy,

This is an interesting fact and thanks a lot for the enlightenment, it's quite a learning for me. I have also had the same experience, reported it to the boss and they spoke to the person and I never heard any feedback or update. I do not wish for anyone to lose their job, but a little scolding or warning to stop such habit would have been perfect on the matter, so I let it go. I guess that's the reality and the kind of we live in also, we just have to look for a way to rise above it with determination to succeed.
