LITERATURE REVIEW

In the graduate level of studies, the instructors expect students to be able to be able to comprehend and synthesize the knowledge which can really be a challenge to new campus students who were not used to that procedure of study. Students have to remain very creative and have the ability to think critically so that they can be able to prosper in their academics. Academic writing always leaves these students having a difficult situation since they have the problem of creating new ideas as well as new arguments pertaining to their field of study. The graduates have to overcome this difficult situation and be able to make better decisions accurately.

The literature search has to be conducted through various means and the graduate students must increase their learning and develop writing competences with argument development and even the portraying of the argument. The book was very helpful because it highlighted the differences between the undergraduates and graduate writing. They have to create a very clear argumentation and give insight to graduate students at the act of starting to write and trying to articulate the main ideas.

Arguments have to be portrayed precisely and the ability to make sound inferences is very important in writing. Critical thinking is also very important because it is a skill and its importance in a culture is very relevant in the society at large. Argumentation is very important in graduate level academic writing and therefore, argument development should be considered in all academic writing if at all we want to come up with an article which will be very productive to the society. It is therefore very crucial in academic writing which should be supported by many intellectuals who view it as an educational writing with very many information regarding the society.
