I recognize immediately what this online instructive school is missing: it's lack of feedback. I knew this before entering the program, but the more I think about it and the more I actually participate in some of the lesson, the more I am keenly aware of its absence. It could be that my learning style need continous, corrective grooming, but whatver the case, whenever I get feedback--positive or negative--I think I progress better than without it.
So what is feedback? The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines it as " the transmission of evaluative or corrective information about an action, event, or process to the original or controlling source". More importantly, I see the need for an external presence to view my progress from another perspective. I may see my progress good; I may even see it as amazing, but I need an expert's view to look upon my work and provide some guidance. Without it, I don't know if I'm actually learning the way I should be learning.
