Are dreams still relevant to therapy?

Although Freud revolutionized psychology and psychotherapy with his thoughts about the unconscious mind and dreams, these areas have largely remained unspoken about in later therapeutic models of psychotherapy. More recently than Freud, Aaron T. Beck found that persons suffering from depression showed "faulty" cognitions in their dream content. Do you think that it is important to deal with dream content in contemporary counselling and psychotherapy? Why or why not?
