Glenn Groulx, a former classmate of mine from the AU course 605, is an amazing visionary and learning-realist, especially when it comes to edublogs and how they are about to expand and mature on the internet for both paraprofessional learners and content and learning professionals. Thanks for the great podcast that I found on the Me2u, Glenn. I look forward to your future contributions and I even a glimpse of mine.

I agree that there is an exciting future and footprint of blogs that will be read and developed over generations and that we are still in infancy. What I found inspiring is your portrayal of how people advance their skills as they explore blog individually and in community through adding links and even content that can be shared. Thanks Jo Ann

Hi Jo Ann,Thank you for your kind words.I appreciated very much your thoughtful questions and comments during the CIDER presentation. I was sometimes distracted during my presentation by the chat, and the interaction going on there. The presentation brings home the point that the idea of edublogging is quite new, and there is a greater need for more dialogue among educators. There are quite a few critics and detractors, interested in debating the usefulness and relevance of blogging, versus other tools, and many of these detractors have significant influence over policy in formal institutions. I also should have acknowledged that the use of metaphors for analyzing blogs spaces is subjective, provoking emotional responses, and alternative views that differ markedly from my own. This actually excites me, because I am convinced that the exchange of alternate perspectives a broader "truth" can be arrived at. I will take time today to review the taping, and the chat session notes, and post my reflections on the talk later today. Thanks again, Jo Ann.
