Sir John weighs in with a descriptive overview of MOOCs and issues surrounding them. As the author of Mega Universities and long-time distance learning guru, his opinions are predictably coloured by a somewhat traditional and long perspective, there is a lot of reliance on non-academic sources, and there is not much new that is added here, but it's a worthwhile read to gain a more situated and grounded view of the MOOC phenomenon.
