Dear AU Graduate Students :
For the second year the Academic Research Committee and the Faculty of Graduate Studies are collaborating to conduct a joint Spring Research Forum.
This year’s theme is “ Conducting Interdisciplinary and Multi-Disciplinary Research ”. As with past years, the forum will include a plenary speaker, concurrent workshops (details of the speaker
and workshops will be provided shortly) and group discussions that will focus on the challenges and rewards of interdisciplinary research.
Graduate students are encouraged to submit abstracts for poster presentations. Attached are the instructions and the form that must be completed if you are interested in submitting an abstract. The deadline for submission of an abstract is January 28, 4:30 pm (MT time).
The conference will be held in April 2011 (the exact date has not been confirmed yet).
The abstracts will be reviewed and those that will be accepted will be included in the conference proceedings.
Once your abstract has been accepted, you are strongly encouraged to apply for funds to attend the conference, either the Profiling Alberta Graduate Students or the Travel Awards.
Discussion forums are group tools that make it easy to discuss things with others in the group. Remember that discussions can also evolve around most things on the Landing including blogs, wikis, bookmarks, files, events and polls.
We welcome comments on public posts from members of the public. Please note, however, that all comments made on public posts must be moderated by their owners before they become visible on the site. The owner of the post (and no one else) has to do that.
