Free Event in Calgary: Forging the Future: Traditional Metal Working and Architectural Metals

Ever walked along Calgary’s historic main streets and admired the sandstone cornices on the commercial buildings? You may be surprised to learn many are sand-painted pressed metal! Tinsmiths and metal workers crafted essential components for our city’s buildings, from windows and roofs, to radiators and cast iron tubs, to steel skeletons.

Join the Heritage Roundtable on February 7th at 7pm at the Memorial Park Library for a free evening of learning and networking at our 5th Heritage Trades Roundtable. Meet some of the people who preserve and maintain the buildings and structures we love.
