Orchestrating lifelong learning

Slides and notes for my EDDE 801 talk today. In brief, it paints a picture of teaching as a distributed role demanding orchestration. Questions whether we need explicit teaching professionals to perform that orchestration. Short answer is we do - sometimes. But, on the whole, that's not necessarily the way to go and, even if we do, it's worth remembering the a professional teacher is just part of what teaches in an educational system. Systems teach. And there are alternative ways to build systems.
