This is a critique (with instructor feedback) of Ellen Facey's article.

Ellen Facey's article in the Journal of Distance Education titled "First Nations and Education by Internet: The Path Forward, or Back?" (Facey, 2001) is an opinion piece to rally support for finding ways of empowering First Nations peoples using Internet-based education. She identifies key issues and draws on several thinkers to answer questions about the value of the Internet for use in education for First Nations students living in rural and remote regions. She then summarizes central principles for fostering the implementation of successful Internet-based learning initiatives for First Nations communities.
