Important notice following the death of our web server administrator: new student accounts are not currently being created on the student web server, and no one is maintaining existing accounts. We are working as fast as possible on a solution but, until this is fixed, we do not require you to upload your site to the student server (though, if you do still have access, we highly recommend doing so). See Running a web server on your local machine for details of how to meet the requirements for the final unit, and my posts on the subject in the discussion forum for further information about the problem.

    • While looking at my website through my phone on my server I realized my layout and the way I positioned my website content was not the best for user experience so I fixed it by removing the menu links since I already have a menu button with the links.

      I also implemented a meta tag for responsiveness as explain in the w3schools.com website about the viewport property:

      name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0"

      I had to reposition my divs and make it so when you surf on my site with a phone the layout stays within appealing view boundaries.

      This is important as in my design in unit 1 I made a scenario where the persona want to use the website with her phone or tablet. The first attempt was not a very good user experience.

      Not it responds to the size of your device window and resizes the boxes and site in way that it is more easy to navigate and has a much better look.

    • I have through the course of my site design added a game page for users to earn a virtual coupon code in order to later get a price drop on the products reviewed.

      This idea came while working on unit 5, I thought it would make an interesting feature for the users to be able to focus a price drop in the product they get interested in. I implemented a a game of crasp and a game of rock paper scissors.
