I logged into the Desire2Learn community and clicked the sparks link. I was initially disoriented with a listing of course links with nondescript or incoherent names. See the attached screen shot.
I realized I was in a D2L course shell and clicked the student tab to see my courses.
This initial feeling of incomprehension has added a layer of skepticism to this new product.
Under my courses is a link to the sparks course that once clicked directs me to the content area to see the various tutorials.
The tutorials seem to be consistently laid out with a PDF file followed by several video files and concluding with a "Test your understanding" quiz.
My initial impression of the overall system was satisfactory with a leading edge of pessimism.
The Landing is a social site for Athabasca University staff, students and invited guests. It is a space where they can share, communicate and connect with anyone or everyone.
Unless you are logged in, you will only be able to see the fraction of posts on the site that have been made public. Right now you are not logged in.
If you have an Athabasca University login ID, use your standard username and password to access this site.
