It is a pleasure to be part of this course to seek and hope that by the end of the course I will have a better understanding of various systems especially learning management systems as well as the underlining patterns of the learners' behaviour which in one way could ease to improve the content and user-experience of the learning management systems for a better E-learning.

My names are Francis Fongang Namaya, a positive driven, industrious, and collaborative person who is so passionate about personal and professional development. My interest and journey to acquire knowledge in the field of computer sciences is dated as far back from  22 years ago with some hiatus or breakpoints in the journey as I earned a Bachelor of Science in computer sciences and a Master of Engineering in Information Technology(Specialisation Mobile programming).However, I have held and accumulated a few years  of IT roles in the past in two different countries  that is South Africa and Finland as an IT Support  Analyst and Junior Software Developer respectively. 

Migrating to Canada in 2014 was another reset in my previous journey as I gained experience in providing web and software development solutions as well as supporting IT systems in a consulting role with Manpower Group then halted to later enrolled to recently graduate and earn a bachelor's degree in Information System. On a short-term contract, I was employed by Alberta health services (AHS) in a capacity as a web analyst at the department of Web Presences and Collaboration Services, where my role consisted of working with different IT teams and end users on time sensitive projects that required to identify, investigate, and analyse project needs to the development of web solutions that meets the project requirements. Also, I assisted in system testing, documentation, and code review of designed systems.

After my short-term contract with AHS, I am currently employed as a System Analyst with the Government of Alberta while still having an incessant quest for more knowledge and research as I am currently enrolled as a Full time  Master Student of sciences in Information system, and this is my second semester at Athabasca University while hoping to navigate smoothly the academic journey. 

On my spare or free time, I do community work, and I am an active member to three non-for-profit organisations. I serve as a financial secretary and a web master to one of the non-for-profit organisations. Watching and playing soccer games are my regular hobbies.

And finally, I am a friendly person looking forward to making new academic peers to share and gain knowledge.
