The ability to self-track reaidng and involvement is a challenge to time mangement. Reading and information management takes precious time. When I read an entry two or even three times by mistake, where perhaps I have been distracted and lost track of where I am in my readings, I experience frunstration.
Learning new skills in cyber conversation is a positive aspect of the me2u application being included in the 605. However the time it takes to view the tutorial, manage the "tryit" approach to learning, and making the mistakes related to that approach is a workload issue in itself. But once smei-mastered the Me2u site is a skill builder.
Perhaps, instead of focusing Me2U on an overall entire course participation/activity it should be reduced to a two week all inclusive participation/activity. Anyone can still view and participate whenever they chose but the actual grading would come from a specified period, and during that period a student would be required to participate/try each resource offered by Me2U. The two week periods could be chunked up so that there is always a steady flow of information. Just a thought.
