OK, so it's a really basic song, but I feel quite confident that all these lessons are coming together (e.g. strumming, chord changes, etc.) This evening's session was the introduction of two songs: Happy Birthday and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. Unlike some lessons, this evening I practised it a few times before recording it, thus giving it something of a more 'polished' feel.
The text from the lesson is also starting to make more sense. Consider:
"Through repetition, all the individual actions will become automatic, and eventually you will think of nothing, only be immersed in the song you are playing. It's like learning to speak - eventually, you aren't thinking about which words to pick, or how to say them, you're only thinking about what you're talking about."
Like with learning any new thing, it is really difficult at the beginning; however, it seems to become easier the more immersed you become with it. Tonight I was incorporating different elements from different lessons and getting some pretty great results.
