Movie in Calgary: Conlanging -- The Art of Crafting Tongues

Students interested in linguistics will find this fascinating---as will most fantasy/sci-fi fans.

Plaza Theatre in Calgary will be screening the world premiere of the feature documentary Conlanging: The Art of Crafting Tongues on Saturday July 22nd 2017, 7:30pm at the Plaza in Calgary.

The film features interviews with Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, Aquaman) as well as many others. The director, production team members and many conlangers featured in the film will be present, and there'll be a Q&A and a party after the film. It’s being screened in conjunction with the 7th Language Creation Conference being held in Calgary at the same time.

Profits from the screening will be donated to endangered language and conlanging causes.

Tickets are $12 each. Doors open at 7, the film will finish at 9 and the Q&A at 10, with party after at a nearby bar. Tickets can be purchased here: http://conlangingfilm.com/world-premiere/
