As a junior high technology teacher, I sometimes get frustrated with the barriers to using technology in the K-12 system.  I want to use blogs, wikis, podcasts, and other web 2.0 technologies in my classroom but I have to worry about school and district policies that ban the use of some technologies that many of our students use every day (like cell phones).  Will we ever respond to the new digital learner considering that progress in the k-12 education system proceeds at a glacial pace?  Here is an interesting video that expresses some of these concerns:
