Having done the export process a few times over the years, I've wound up with a lot of duplicates in Zotero thanks to multiple imports - not too tricky to delete the excess but more hassle than I need.
I've not yet completely removed EndNote due to the need to unformat citations before they become usable in Bookends, but much looking forward to killing it permanently. The only real, if minor, irritation so far is the lack of a keyboard shortcut for inserting citations - I prefer not to use a mouse. I'm pretty sure there's a way to get around this but it will probably involve a bit of Automator hacking.
I can't seem to get the keyboard shortcuts to work in Zotero either...
I've found this - http://veritrope.com/tech/the-basics-using-keyboard-shortcuts-with-applescripts/ - which seems promising. Not tried it yet but the option to add context-sensitive keyboard shortcuts looks like it should be an answer.
Hi my fellow adventurers. I really loved Jon's presentation -- well done. Engaging in meaningful dialogue over time with our online community -- awesome. I continue to study and write in many forum settings on the internet and Athabasca University was a great bridge to my present work online. I still have my day work, in counselling, but my online work is global and ever expanding. I'm grateful for the AU connection and the landing, that is https:/landing@athabascaU.ca. We are a valuable collective and will create for years to come.

Why, thank you! The Landing continues to grow - those figures from a year or two ago are significantly higher now (we are approaching 7000 users, for instance, and have peaked at well over 20,000 external visitors some months). And we need it more than ever!
Are you familiar with DealExtreme? Aside from a custom-crafted eBay search, they're my favourite place for stuff from China and they've got a much wider selection on the low end.
DealExtreme looks cool, thanks Stephan.
@Louise, I think that China is a source of a wonderfully diverse range of products. There's more of both the high and the low quality stuff, to suit all needs and pockets. A few of the things on these sites are at least as good as their more well-known counterparts at a fraction of the cost, many more are very lame, with corners cut in ways it's hard to condone, but a lot of the rest fill niches that are not big enough to exploit in N. America or that are deliberately squashed by telecoms companies and big-box suppliers. There's a lot more choice, and I like that.
