I am not pleased that all the postings I worked on in my last MDDE course (April-July 2007) are gone. I read Terry Anderson's explanation but I am still ticked off. I was willing to work in this environment and be patient while waiting for improvements (e-potfolio looks interesting), but if I put a lot of time and effort into posting on the blog and changing settings I want to see it when I come back after taking a term off. I am not pleased. I'll be using my Blogger account from now on, while looking for a better blogging and social software platform.
The Landing is a social site for Athabasca University staff, students and invited guests. It is a space where they can share, communicate and connect with anyone or everyone.
Unless you are logged in, you will only be able to see the fraction of posts on the site that have been made public. Right now you are not logged in.
If you have an Athabasca University login ID, use your standard username and password to access this site.
We welcome comments on public posts from members of the public. Please note, however, that all comments made on public posts must be moderated by their owners before they become visible on the site. The owner of the post (and no one else) has to do that.
If you want the full range of features and you have a login ID, log in using the links at the top of the page or at https://landing.athabascau.ca/login (logins are secure and encrypted)
Posts made here are the responsibility of their owners and may not reflect the views of Athabasca University.

Dear Thomas,
I think there must be a way of saving those comments or storing them in a way that they can be archived. I agree with you -- that it seems important to have a working and ongoing social network and that your hard work is important. Thanks for your posting. Jo Ann
I won't repeat my apologies for the loss of data from last year. But it won't happen again. The system is now a part of the single login (the reason for the loss) as people's login names changed).
But Thomas, do feel free to have me2u inport your postings from Blogger, so that your AU colleagues can benefit from your insights.
Terry
Thanks for the feedback. I'll give it another try and see what happens. I am really interested in the eportfolio part as well.
Hi again Thomas. I just noticed that the old version of me2u is still available (links from the bottom of the main welcome page). So it is possible to login to the old version - using your former login name and passwoprd and cut and paste entries from the past. A pain and gets the dates
screwed up, but it may be worth it for particular valued posts.
Cheers
Terry
