I am taking the MDDE610 (Intro. to DE Technologies) course this winter and this is my 6th course in the MDDE program for me. I am struggling to keep up and it is only the 3rd week. The comparison of CMS and LMS systems was heavy and I have to revisit to do it justice. It is amazing to find out that even though I have always regarded myself as a Tech Geek (btw, that is my official title ) I can still feel like a newbie.

Tom I agree with your newbie vs techno geek comment because as a former tech teacher I have always been the techno geek at my school. MDDE 610 has shown me that there are huge areas of "tech" that I am definitely a total newb in. I find that very exciting actually. I too am feeling the volume of the work, but as an old fart with grown up kids I am loving the challenge:)
Thank you for your assessment on the evaluation of the CMS systems available. I thought I was the only one to feel swamped by the amount of information in this area. I have been working with WebCT over the past three years in course development and thought I had a pretty good handle on the technology, but now I am relizing I've just scratched the surface.
