I covered this MDE from January 2006 to September 2009. During these four years, some critical changes happened in my work career. For example, I got a stable teaching job (until that time, I was occasionally a full-timer, sometimes part-timer), made several presentations, and wrote papers that were sustainable for academic and professional type of organizations in the field. However, living so distant from the MDE, I am not certain if it is right to credit all of these to this MDE or many other factors and assistance from people who are here and there to support me.
Even so, I would like to express my special gratitude to Terry Anderson for the last two courses of independent study MDDE 690 and 691; he made a big difference in my learning experience during my MDE studies. For the reason that both course works are highly inclined toward research competencies, they are not included in this e-portfolio but are undergoing development in a separate presentation for my personal use in my private presentation section on this me2u web site.
Finally, based on the suggestion of Dr. Moisey, the MDE competency matrix is appended. It summarizes the correspondence between the MDE course works presented and the MDE competencies that are illustrated by the works. Based on the recommendation of Dr. Moisey, the idea of the matrix was borrowed from an MDE graduate Norm Taylor at http://me2u.athabascau.ca/elgg/normanta/presentations/ The three stars in the chart represent the higher level of illustration (with the stars in full color), the middle level of illustration (shown by stars with contour), and the lower level of illustration (with the smaller stars): I hope this helps to clarify which parts of my course works depict my acquisition of targeted MDE competencies. Thank you Norm for your generosity in sharing your work with us.
